4th of July Picnic Survival Guide On this July 4th the Wholly team wanted to give you some ideas to take the guess work out of planning the perfect holiday picnic!
Family Picnicking doesn't have to be complicated! Most families have plastic tubs and bowls and even a soft cooler tucked away somewhere.  Just add some plastic wear and food and you can have a spur of the moment picnic without any fancy gear!  A fun way to get the family excited about your outing is to let the kids help out with the packing. Food Picnic fun can be a little tricky.  The food needs to be easy to transport and easy to eat!  No one wants to have to pack steak knives in the picnic basket.  Here are some ideas for some fantastic foods for your July 4th picnic, and guess what... they include guacamole, queso or salsa- imagine that! Fun Memories are made on days like this.  Be sure to include some family games to ensure that smiles are on tap for the day.  Here are some entertaining ideas that are perfect for picnics. Print off trivia / memory games, Scavenger Hunt, Sports – kite, Frisbee, ball and glove, horseshoes or batmitton, Cards. Remember to pack your camera or video camera to record the family day!
Here's a Must Pack list to get you started: Table cloth, Waterproof blanket, Utensils, Paper plates / bowls, Cool section (insulated container, soft or hard side cooler), Napkins, Trash bags, Basket / picnic set, Hand sanitizer / wipes, Wine glasses and opener, Condiments (salt, pepper, ketchup, mayo, etc.) Here are a few more things to include in your activity packing: Flowers / candles, Fireworks, Lighter, Beach ball, Towels, Change of clothes, Insect repellant, Pens / pencils / markers
